Report on Student Evaluation (EPBM) of The Technology and Management of Aquaculture.

  1. Courses EPBM Score and Written Feedback from The Students.

This is a summarised report for student online evaluation (EPBM) to be published to students and lecturers of The Technology and Management of Aquaculture Study Program as one way to improve educational service at the aforementioned study program. The EPBM score per parallel class is ranging between 3.61-3.94 while the range of average score per courses is at 3.66-3.79. The highest possible EPBM score is at 4 and the score of EPBM either average per parallel or average per class is considered good (In accordance with IPB quality assurance system, EPBM score should be higher than 3). THe complete EPBM score per parallel or per courses can be seen in the tabla 1 below.

Feedback from the student stated the required improvement in the class delivery. Table 2. below highlighted the required improvement that was suggested by the students. To follow up the feedback from the student, The Department of Aquaculture will ask the course coordinator to improve the class delivery and compliance of all lectures to the class schedule.

No Written Feedback from The Students
1 To ensure that the course period is not exceeding the scheduled time
2 Improve interaction in the classroom
3 To use digital media in the class such as video
4 To use provided microphones to ensure all the student can hear the lecture

    2. The Detailed EPBM component

The breakdown of each component/question in the EPBM can be seen in the table 3 below. Question 1 is related to the availability of teaching document (course study plan, course material), question 2 related to the opportunity that student get to improve their hard/soft skills, question 3 is related to whether the assessment of the course provided transparently, question

4 is related to whether the learning process is fund and inspiring, and question 5 is related to whether the learning process is expected. The table 3 below displays the breakdown score of each EPBM component.

Summary

In general the EPBM score of the courses and lecturers of The Technology and Management of Aquaculture Study Program is above minimum score required by IPB University (higher than 3 scores), however improvement can be made based on the student’s written feedback especially in the delivery methods of the courses. Lectures will be encouraged to be more interactive with students, to utilize video in the lectures, and  to ensure that class presentations can be followed by all the students.
